QPorkChains Industrial Partners





CRPA SPA is a research centre for animal production which was founded in 1972. It develops implements and manages research projects for farmers, the agro-food industry and public bodies. Furthermore, it disseminates research results, plans and organises activities aimed at rural development, offers technical-scientific consultancy and offers innovate for disposal and re-cycling of byproducts from livestock farms and processing industries.

ITAL is since 1997 a Cooperative Society with limited liability. Pigs ar delivered directly from pig farmes who are members of the cooperative. It slaughters (>650.000 pigs/yr), processes (15.000 t of green ham, 20.000 t of loin) and markets pork produckts. ITAL’s market share of slaughtered pigs in Italy is 10%. It delivers to the pork processing industry, major national supermarket chains and distributions organisations and to major European countries (Netherlands, France and Germany).

SSICA is an experimental station for the food preserving industry. It is a public institution with the specific aim to promote technical and technological progress in the Italian fruit, vegetable, meat and fish processing industry. Furthermore, it acts as a consultancy, disseminates knowledge and promotes quality in the food preserving sector.
